• Fall Racing Schedule

  I am excited to announce the Fall Racing Schedule.  We’ll start off with the last Full Moon Series race on Sept 18^th.  Prior to the Fall Series we will hold a “Starting Clinic” on Sept 25^th.   At the skipper’s meeting we’ll spend 30 min going over the rules and some basic strategies.  We’ll have 6 very short races (1/2 mile course) to practice starts.  We’ll have two fleets, “Experienced” and “Novice”.  It’s a great time for novice racers to gain confidence at the starting line! 

   

  The Fall Series will stretch over three months starting Saturday Oct 2^nd.  We’ll have 2 races each day.  Note the Fall race #4 is on a Sunday.

   

  T-In-E will be Halloween weekend – The J-24’s will be here on a circuit stop which doubles as a world qualifier. 

   

  We’ll wrap up the season with “Tour de Lewisville” Very Long Distance Race – we’ll go to Lakeview, Sneaky Peak’s, 121, Cottonwood Creek and DCYC for a total of 25 miles. 

   

  Unfortunately the Lewisville Cup will not be held this fall. It is being moved to the Spring ‘11.

  Saturday Dec 11^th – Tour de Lewisville (25 mile race to the four corners of the lake)

  Sunday Dec 12^th – Tour de Lewisville make up day

  Saturday Dec 18^th – Tour de Lewisville make up day

• Full Moon Race Series #4

  • After the race, we can join the full moon raft! Racing and partying all in one nght - what more could you ask for !!!
  • This series will be a Reverse Start, Pursuit Race Format.  The start will be West of DCYC club house between the Red and Green buoys.  There will be a skippers meeting at the first event held June 26^th at 7 pm.   In subsequent events, the race committee will post the course on the front door of the club house and on the back of the designated committee boat.
  • Dates:
    • Sat June 26th: Full Moon 1, 8pm
    • Sat July 24th: Full Moon 2, 8pm
    • Sat Aug 21st: Full Moon 3, 8pm
    • Sat Sept 18th: Full Moon 4, 7pm
  • We will have a multiple courses
  •  There will be a $15 fee to participating boats for the entire series (fee covers both first and second half of the summer series).  Fee only assessed if you start in two events or more.  First race you enter is free!!  
  • You only need to register once for this series, you don't need to register for each race date.

  By registering for this event I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and by all other rules that govern this event.  By participating in the event, each boat owner, skipper and crew agrees to sail and use DCYC's facilities at his or her own risk.  And to the fulledst extent permiitted under Texas law each boat owner, skipper and crew unconditionally and irrivocably releases and discharges Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club, Dallas Corinthian Education Fund, their officers, Board of Governors and Directors and agents and all other persons who assist in maintaining equipment or organizing and conducting races from all claims and legal liablity for personal injury, property damages or death incurred in connection with the Regatta and caused by negligence,
