DCYC Junior Sailing Program

The Junior Sailing Program aims to teach the art of sailing to juniors and, for those who are interested, introduce them to the sailing and the sport of sailboat racing. The junior sailors learn on the club-owned fleet of Optimist Prams, Sunfish, and Club 420's.

Highlights of the program include: 

  • Summer camp at the club
  • Monthly practice sessions
  • Participation in local, regional and national regattas, 
  • most of which have special fleets for beginning racers

  The 2010 Junior Sailing Camp is a wrap!  The 30 participants had great wind each and every day. Fun on the water, developing sailing skills and making friends were all a part of this exciting fifth year for DCYC's Windward Sailing Camp.

Many thanks to those club volunteers who make this week happen !!
